BEST WISCONSIN Club EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER, Summer Nights

Location: Milwaukee, WI

When you first visit this historic Mitchell family estate turned club, you see why this isn’t just another country club in the Milwaukee area. It’s a curated experience that you can live in again and again. The live music varies per event and at night. But if you are there during the ‘golden hour’ of sunset you will get images that are second to none.

Why The Wisconsin Club photographs unlike anywhere else in Milwaukee.

The Wisconsin Club has a presence that most venues simply do not. The Views. The symmetry. The sense that the building has been quietly watching Milwaukee for well over a century and has developed certain opinions about how things should be done. On a normal day, that gravitas is the whole story.

On a festival themed day, it becomes the counterpoint to everything happening in front of it — and that tension is where the photographs live. A laughing group against a stone facade that has seen a hundred years of Milwaukee history. Children chasing each other across manicured grounds that have hosted governors and dignitaries. A couple sharing something over a glass of wine, the Club's arched windows framing them from behind like a painting someone forgot to finish.

"Most venues give you crowd and energy. The Wisconsin Club gives you crowd and energy against one of the most photographically compelling backdrops in Milwaukee, Wisconsin."

The grounds extend the story beyond the building itself. The exterior architecture creates natural staging for event photography — covered entryways that frame arrivals, stone details that catch afternoon light in ways that feel intentional, and the surrounding campus that gives images depth and context without ever pulling focus from the people in them.

The themed nights that the Wisconsin Club offers its members have something for everyone who visits. Whether you are a grandparent hosting your family or a you’re bringing your newborn, you will be taken care of and felt apart of every detail in the experience.

WISCONSIN CLUB, State Fair Theme Festival MILWAUKEE, WI

Location: Milwaukee, WI

The staff who create these masterpiece dishes at the Wisconsin Club do not hold back on creating something that looks like it belongs in Taste of Home magazine. Each plate they bring out or buffet they serve matches whatever event is happening that week at the club. In this case, they curated powdered sugar treats from cream puffs to crepes to bring a taste of Wisconsin to the members of the Wisconsin club.

The Day the Club Comes Alive.

Inside a festival day at The Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee — and why a venue this historic, this layered, and this alive with people produces some of the most cinematic event photography in the city.

The Wisconsin Club on a festival day is one of a kind.

I've photographed here across nearly every format this city offers — engagement sessions, wedding receptions, private dinners, architectural portraits. But there is something particular about what happens when the Club opens its grounds to be its own festival. The formality loosens just enough. The stone and symmetry that make it feel so considered on quieter days become a backdrop for movement, for music, for the kind of layered human activity that rewards a photographer who knows where to stand and when to wait.

Every single treat looks like a new experience waiting to happen and the Wisconsin club makes sure of it.

NONPROFIT PHOTOGRAPHY, Summit Milwaukee

Location: Milwaukee, WI

We headed to the south side of Milwaukee to join in a summer camp sponsored by Summit to capture the experience kids were having just 6 months since the pandemic first hit. We still could see the smiling eyes and joy that kids had despite having to wear face masks to play soccer on the field outside.

Some of the kids were being featured for a promotional video for fundraising purposes so we headed to the river nearby this soccer park to capture more of the behind the scenes for social media and website use too.
